Barefoot in the Alps
Martl Jung from Murnau in Upper Bavaria wants to accomplish something that has not been done since Stone Age times. He wants to make a full crossing of the Alps, from north to south, from Munich to Verona. And he wants to do so completely unshod – barefoot. His route takes him across deserts of rocks, glaciers and up and down via ferratas. He attempts with bare feet something that would be tough on the well-shod average walker. The report accompanies him on the 500 kilometres of up and down, up and down, covering a total elevation of 30,000 metres, or 100,000 feet.
