A mass murderer is on the loose. Referred to as "Buffalo Bill," this psychopathic serial killer of women has literally skinned the bodies of his victims.
Clarice Starling is the bright young FBI student pulled from her training at the FBI Academy at Quantico to interview Hannibal Lecter, a former psychiatrist and incarcerated cannibalistic serial killer, believing Lecter's insight might be useful in the pursuit of "Buffalo Bill."
Clarice becomes a pawn trapped in Lecter's games but needs his help to save Bill's victims.
